Wow... how did I miss these guys?
My band (yeP!) was on the jam band scene for 5 years from 1993-1998, and somehow I missed all mention of these guys! What most impresses me is that the singer can DO DALTREY JUSTICE - very impressive. Plus the fact that these "virtual matrix" soundboards sound amazing - nice work, and thanks to both band and taper!

I thought the band name was, uh, less than compelling
However, I streamed a show for a little while. Clicked through some tunes while browsing the shows and noticed simultaneously that #1. These guys really got somethin' goin' on with great musicianship, harmonies and arrangements. #2. They have a great repertoire. #3. These are all GREAT soundboard and matrix recordings. #4. I am going to download nearly every damn show from this group. I got a good start on it the last two nights. I have mined about 700 shows from the archive now (THANK YOU EVER SO MUCH, ARCHIVE AND EVERY TAPER, POSTER, BAND, ETC. for your generosity). This band really was a bright spot out of the blue.

I'm hopping on..........
.....the Mr. Blotto bandwagon. This is another band that I took a chance on while surfing the archive late one night. I saw the other reviews and decided to give it a D/L. I took one listen to the first track and I was hooked. DAMN!!!.....You really CAN teach an old Deadhead new tricks. 5 stars is just not high enough to rate this show. Killer sound and an overall smokin' show. And btw, Johnny B. Goode done reggae style...are you kidding me? Sounds strange at first, but trust me, I had that song on repeat for nearly a half hour. Listen to it enough and you'll swear you're listening to Sublime(OK, so maybe it's just me). I'll stop rambling on now, and let you go download. Enjoy!!!

First Mr. Blotto Concert...
This was my first Mr. Blotto d/l. Some tasty jams and i especially liked the "Poor Heart" cover. Excellent recording and performace.

Thanks for the kind words
This matrix was done in a virtual world which allowed me the opportunity to adjust the amount of audience frequently throught the bands performance. Essentially I was able to adjust the audience volume at very key moments during solos and between songs. Thus, this maintained the Soundboard sound but added that extra element of a live audience recording.
Glad you enjoyed it!
More to come. Stay tuned.

Kicka$$ as always
Nice matrix recording - captures audience energy without hurting band soundboard quality
Outstanding J.B. Goode reggae version and impressive improvised rap
Check out the guitarwork on St. Stephen too!
Can't wait to see what album side they cover for next year's show (Wondering if the band will consider suggestions - Crosby Stills & Nash? The Band? Jerry Garcia Band covers? - I think they've already done Pink Floyd, Led Zep and the Beatles)
Please upload more - we can't get enough!
